NOTHING, ARIZONA — Conall Reader was so inspired at the bookstore that he bought a guide with no plans to travel there. The copy of “Iceland’s Wonder Hikes” spike to him sufficiently to justify parting with hard-earned money only for the dream aspect.
“I’ve never really thought much about Iceland,” Mr. Reader reports. “But this hike guide is beautiful! The scenery, the waterfalls, the volcanic geography… I’m just going to leaf through it and dream.”
Mr. Reader confirms that he’s not planning to travel there. “It’s a long flight, and I can’t justify a trip of that magnitude for a long time, between work and family. But the beauty of buying this book is I can now travel there any time I want.”
